Description

Exterior view of No. 2 Factory on Radford Boulevard. Work was completed in 1932 and the building measured 250,000 square foot.The factory continued to produce cigarettes until the 1970s, when Player's moved production to its new Horizon factory.

I always thought this was the best looking of all the factories: No 1 was a hotch-potch as it had grown as production expanded: No 3 (not being on pubic view) was severely utilitarian. I remember seeing No 3 factory from my grandparent's house on Grassington Road, opposite Player's Rec.......
